Brent Minet

Brent Minet is a multi-talented musician and educator based in Buffalo, NY. As a pianist, organist, composer, arranger, producer, and educator, Brent’s musical journey is as diverse as it is inspiring.

Brent currently teaches at the International Preparatory School in the Buffalo Public School District, where he shares his passion for music with students. His course load includes World Music, Music Industry, and Music Production, all of which are advanced placement courses that offer college credit.

His musical education is a testament to his dedication to the craft. Brent studied piano with Steve Parisi, Dr. Marcella Branagan, and Dr. Emily Boyce. He honed his composition and orchestration skills under the guidance of Dr. Aaron Cassidy and Dr. James F. Mabry III. Additionally, he studied Orff Schulwerk with James and Mary Ellen Solomon at the prestigious Eastman School of Music.

Brent holds a BA in Music and an MS in Multidisciplinary Studies from Buffalo State University. He currently resides in the Western New York area, where he continues to be involved in the music scene. He serves as the organist and choir director at First United Methodist Church in North Tonawanda, NY, showcasing his talents in both traditional and contemporary worship music.

An accomplished performer, Brent regularly takes the stage with the Soul Committee from Niagara Falls, NY, and the Outfit from Buffalo, NY. His collaborations with artists such as James Anthony, Ernie Corrallo, Bobby Falk, and Mudbone John Dikeman have earned him a reputation for excellence in the music industry.

Brent has shared the stage with legendary musicians including Jack De Keyser, Richard Newell (also known as King Biscuit Boy), and Lou Pride. He has also opened for renowned acts such as Lonestar, John Michael Montgomery, Travis Tritt, and Duke Robillard.

Brent’s compositions have been featured in premieres and recordings, including “Kate’s Fall – Samba for Saxophone Quartet,” which debuted in 2004 by the Buffalo State University Saxophone Quartet under the direction of Dave Shiavone.

Driven by his passion for music, Brent is currently focused on composing and producing music for film and television, aiming to secure placements that will further elevate his musical journey.
